Stephen
has over 20 years of experience in real estate development, investment,
management, marketing and consulting spanning
Hong Kong /
China / Asia to North America. Prior to joining
Zeppelin, Stephen had held senior management positions with
publicly listed corporations and major organizations. His interest covers areas
of real estate analysis, investment strategy,
and portfolio allocation in
addition to backgrounds in facility management, sales & leasing, project management
and building economics. Stephen has participated in the development,
investment, management and marketing of residences, offices, retail
facilities, hotels, resorts, industrial complexes and specialist
buildings including several large scale mixed-use developments. Total
value handled to date is estimated to be around
US$5B.
Stephen has also created the
company newsletter
Real Estate Tech with a circulation of close to 8,000
readers, and the real estate analytical website
www.real-estate-tech.com
through which Zeppelin shares some of the real estate knowledge and ideas with interested parties.

Stephen is also sought after by universities and business associations as a
real estate
guest speaker and he is currently an
adjunct professor with the City University of Hong Kong and the University
of Hong Kong. He has
also delivered professional talks to peers from China including Hong Kong,
Canada, and the USA. These include audiences from Tsinghua University, the University of Hong
Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Chinese University of Hong
Kong, the City University of Hong Kong, York University (Canada), the Asia
Public Real Estate Association, the
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Hong Kong, Boston, and Toronto
Chapters), the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Ontario Institute of
Quantity Surveyors, the Rotary Clubs, and the like.
Stephen
holds Bachelor degrees in building economics from the
University of Hong Kong
(HKU)
and a Masters in Real Estate Development from the
Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT).
He is / has been also a member of
the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (UK), Hong Kong Institute
of Surveyors, American Association of Cost Engineers, Canadian Institute
of Quantity Surveyors, North American Real Estate Investment Trusts,
and the Hong
Kong Institute of Facility Management, and has his professionalism
recognized by CECA (the equivalent of a Cost
Engineering Institute in China). He is also a Hong Kong Licensed Real Estate
Agent and a Registered Professional Surveyor (QS).
